50 Reasons to STAY OP (on program) this weekend

1. There are only 97 days till Summer!

2. You'll feel such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment come Monday.

3. You will lose weight.

4. You won't have to worry about bingeing. If you don't take that first compulsive bite, the danger is minimal!

5. You'll have more energy to get things done.

6. You'll sleep better without being overstuffed and guilty.

7. You'll save money (as opposed to either going out or ordering in or making a junk food run to the store).

8. You'll be proud of yourself.

9. You'll realize and understand that weekends don't have to be about FOOD.

10. You'll lose inches.

11. Your face won't look all puffy.

12. You won't have to worry about drinking too much...just don't 'start'! Stick with the seltzer water and lime wedge...or diet Coke...or some other non-alcoholic no cal beverage. If you've got something in your hand, no one will bother you.

13. You'll be a great example and inspiration to your family and friends -- especially the ones with weight problems of their own.

14. You'll get the chance to try new methods of staying OP...maybe pack an extra bar in your purse if you're going to be out...maybe some extra water bottles...maybe even get yourself a small (well sealed) container for that MF approved salad dressing so you can always always have a salad and never feel deprived!

15. You'll reinforce lots of GOOD habits inside your brain....weighing and measuring, pre-planning, working the program, etc.

16. You'll rack up 2 more days worth of (priceless!) experience.

17. You'll keep exercising your NO muscle. The more you exercise it, the stronger it gets!

18. You'll keep fat brain in the closet (and blissfully SILENT) where she belongs.

19. Speaking of closets -- you'll have the time to go through yours and get rid of some more 'fat clothes'. Donate them! Or sell them in a consignment shop. Let someone else who needs them use them. You're NEVER going 'back'.

20. You'll have time to work on your income taxes and get them done early instead of running around last minute (April 15th is only a month away!) -- don't hit me LOL.

21. You'll be happier knowing you're staying OP.

22. Being happier means you'll be nicer to have around.

23. Happiness and positive energy can spread to those around you, making everyone's weekend better -- even strangers you meet!

24. You'll have time to get your rest. Most of us don't get enough sleep.

25. You'll have time to browse, lurk and comment on this website -- you get out of it what you put INTO it.

26. You'll have time to exercise (or at least think about and plan your exercise regimen) and the next challenge to your body.

27. You'll learn you can 'de-stress' WITHOUT food.

28. You'll lay one more brick in your 'foundation of health' (ugh this sounds HOKEY...but it's true...!) Every successful weekend OP demonstrates to your brain that you CAN do it.

29. If you have children, you'll be reaching them how to eat HEALTHY.

30. Your husband or significant other will be proud of you. They know how important this is to you. SHOW them you are strong enough to do it!

31. You'll continue to work on those tastebuds by staying on the MF meals...without even realizing it...because over time, your tastes DO change when you're on this program;  and believe it or not after awhile, you won't even LIKE the taste of a lot of the greasy junk food you 'used' to love so much.

32. You'll be LOVING youself and taking CARE of yourself as opposed to beating yourself up.  I gotta admit...this reason is my FAVORITE.

33. You'll have something to brag/blog :) about, come Monday morning.

34. If you're in your 40s or 50s you'll fight menopause symptoms (in my experience? Soy protein helps get rid of those hot flashes!).

35. You'll be one step closer to that drop-dead gorgeous swimsuit you saw in a catalog.

36.  If you worked out during the week, you'll give your body the time and rest it needs to convert fat into muscle (our body needs 48-72 hours to do this)....instead of making more fat cells!

37. You'll flush the toxins out of your body by drinking all your water.

38. You'll give yourself the TIME to really think and analyze your "WHYS"....WHY you overeat...and really get into some of the much-needed headwork we all talk about. Maybe read a book on emotional eating?

39. You'll ELIMINATE the stress and guilt that normally follows a 'slip up'. Instead you'll have a clear, guilt-free head come Monday!

40. You'll be one step closer to GOAL!

41. By saying 'NO' to food pushers, you'll NEGATE one more excuse to overeat.

42. By saying NO to food pushers, you'll assert yourself and continue to demonstrate (to yourself AND others) that YOU (and ONLY you) are in charge of what you eat, and that you won't be bullied, intimidated or cajoled into betraying your goals.

43. You'll practice SELF LOVE techniques by saying "NO" to going off program.

44. You'll have time to peruse the recipes library or forum, or Sandy's kitchen -- and maybe try a new recipe.

45. You'll have time to double or even triple the recipes you make often that you love -- so you'll have them available during the week and all you need to do is heat them up!

46.  Without the guilt, bloating and fixation on FOOD, you can go clothes shopping and have a ball trying on smaller sizes.

47.  In the process of said clothes shopping you might get the opportunity to talk about this program to someone who really needs it -- and who knows, you might just save a LIFE from obesity if they go on the program! (Didn't realize you could be a HERO, did you?)

48. While you're at it, you'll have time to go through your dresser drawers and organize them as well as your closet. You might just fit into those short-shorts you've been saving!

49. You'll LOVE what you see in the mirror -- not perfect but OP and that is a wonderful thing. SMILE!

50. Summer is coming! Did I say that before? OOPS....No matter. It's definitely important enough for TWO reasons! LOL

Now...stack THAT up next to your excuses. NO CONTEST, right?

Stay OP this weekend and be able to SMILE come Monday morning instead of the 'I did it again' syndrome.  It IS possible.

Keep on keepin' on!
