Wanna BET?

Good Sunday morning, everyone!

Beautiful day here in rural NJ (yes NJ DOES have rural areas LOL)....and I'm loving the sunshine and the flowers and the birds singing....sigh...

But I digress.  I just read something in this month's issue of Woman's Day that I thought might help MANY of us! 

Are you are gambler?

Are you willing to take a chance on YOURSELF?

If so...you have GOT to check out this website:

What you do is, you make a 'bet' with YOURSELF that you will lose 'X' # of pounds in 'X' period of time (the minimum time by the way is 6 months. and minimum amount to lose is 20 lbs.)

Then you pay that money....and if you win, you win MORE than you paid in.

So for example let's say you want to lose 50 lbs in 6 months.
So you put in $20. per month for 6 months, investing $120. in yourself.

If you make your goal and lose the weight? You win $281.54!  That means that you just WON $161.54!  Talk about a REWARD, right?

You could put that towards all the NEW CLOTHES you're gonna buy when you lose that weight!

How's THAT for getting a kick-start on your weight loss efforts?

Just an idea....I am NOT endorsing this in any way, shape or form....just throwing it out there for information purposes...but I checked it out and it's not a scam....it's a real live thing.

They are obviously gambling on the fact that most people who go on diets DON'T make it.

But we CAN make it, right? We have the right tools to get it done!

I didn't go all the way through their system to see how they 'verify' you lost the weight....I would imagine there's a certain amount of trust involved but you also probably have to submit a picture or SOMETHING, right? To prove it? 

But I think it's fascinating!  Just one more resource for you....

Or how about this? You could do this YOURSELF.....put aside, let's say, $20. a month for 5  months to lose 20 lbs.

That would be an investment of $100. And your goal is to lose 20 lbs in 5 months (approximately 20 weeks).  That's 1 lb. a week.
Now some weeks you might have a 2 lb loss...and some weeks you might have NO loss...but it's still doable, right?

If you took that $100. and put it aside....let's say in a separate savings account you set up for yourself (these days it's pretty easy to set up an additional savings account from your bank's website), and you don't touch it...and every week you lose weight you ALSO add, say, $5. to it....well, then that's the same principle. You're paying YOURSELF to lose weight, and when you reach goal you've got the original $100. plus all the $5.00 bills you added to it every week you lost weight. So now you've got a nice little clothing fund started!  Or money for MF meals. Whatever you want to spend it on.

The KEY is, of course, making this account SEPARATE...you don't touch it no matter what.

So this website is basically doing that for you plus 'paying' you. They are gambling on the fact that most people who go on diets DON'T make it.

But we CAN make it, right? We have the right tools to get it done!

Think about it...let me know what you think!  Again, I'm not endorsing this per se....and please don't think this is a TSFL thing, because it's NOT....it's just an idea. An idea that might just give you that extra added 'push' you need to STAY OP!
